Ever had a font that needs modifying? Select the letter using the reshape tool and modify the outline. Save the changes under a new name and it will be available to use in the future. This feature is called User Refined Lettering.

Productivity features

Styles

Styles are a huge time saver. Store favourite stitch settings as a style and instantly apply them to other objects.

Make properties current / Apply current properties

Once you’ve used this feature, you’ll be lost without it!

Click on an object to record its stitch properties, such as underlay, connector settings, stitch type, spacing, pull compensation etc. Now you can apply those properties to another object with a single click.

Once recorded those settings can be used for all concurrent objects saving you a ton of time retyping their values.

Smooth Nodes

Auto-Converting graphics to embroidery objects often results in hundreds of unwanted nodes. This feature automatically cleans up the outlines and reduces the file size.

Branching

Select a group of touching embroidery objects and apply Branching to resequence them without any trims.

Backtrack and Repeat

Save time punching an outline twice by using backtrack and repeat. It duplicates the outline and stitches it either clockwise or reverse.

Shaping Tools

Previously a £343 option and now standard in e4 Designing. The Shaping Tools feature is a necessity for production digitising.

Automatically generate appliqué files

Appliqué typically consists of five steps

  1. Run stitch outline to use as a guide for positioning the fabric

  2. Frame out so the fabric can be stuck in position

  3. Tack down outline to secure the fabric

  4. Underlay

  5. Satin border

The five steps have been automated into one function called Auto Appliqué. Simply draw the applique outline and the software will do the rest. It will even generate a preview so your customer can see exactly how their design is going to look.

Partial Appliqué

Appliqué satin borders look bulky where they overlap. Partial Appliqué will automatically remove the borders so they won’t be stitched.

Easy colour proofing

The Colour Wheel

If you’ve ever had to proof designs in different colourways then you know how long it takes. We’ve made this quick in EmbroideryStudio Digital Edition Designing with the Colour Wheel function.

How it works

Open a design and rotate the arms on the colour wheel. The design changes colour in real time.

Once you’re happy with the result, click the “Match All Threads” button and the software will map the colours to your favourite thread chart.

Want to show variations based on the current colour palette?

You can do that with the “cycle used colours” feature. Each click rotates the colour order one at a time..
